Today, the Medical Center operates 120 buildings on 340 acres as an integrated health care system on a mission to deliver superb service, with a proven record of outstanding achievement in patient care, medical education and research. The clinical enterprise, Wake Forest Baptist Health, operates 1,004 acute care, rehabilitation and psychiatric care beds, outpatient services, and community health and information centers in its primary service area. That area covers a 24-county region in northwestern North Carolina and southwestern Virginia. Twenty-one subsidiary or affiliate hospitals operate more than 120 outreach activities, including satellite clinics, health fairs, consulting services and medical director services. |
